Whew...

Ok, so it's been awhile. Life was recently upended a little, so this blog has been somewhat out of my mind.

Anyway, have I ever mentioned that I dislike Canada Post? Mail delivery is almost invariably around 11:00am. I know this because of the life upending part. So 11:00am, the mail gets delivered. Except when you want it to be. I'm waiting for a package. You should have an idea where I'm going already. Delivery today? 10:00am. I heard the mail slot flap creak and moan. Sitting in the basket is a Delivery Notice. wtf? Great, now I have to wait until tomorrow to get my package. Have you ever heard of ringing the doorbell? You know, the button that's immediately obvious to anybody with some eyesight?

Forgetting the strange delivery time, packages I've gotten from Amazon have always been "safe-dropped" when nobody is home. A "safe-drop" is putting the package in front of the door if the location/area is a safe area. Now, I live on a busy street. That's not a "safe-drop". And of course the one time I wouldn't MIND a "safe-drop", it doesn't happen. Again, wtf? Do they do this on purpose?

Blargh.

Well, the last almost two months in as few words as possible: trained like crazed hamsters for Lindy Bout, laid off job, won Lindy Bout, performed at Stars on Stage (local version of Dancing With the Stars), got car fixed, my birthday, my nephew's first birthday, etc, etc.

**Update**
My package was scanned at the Post Office at 1:18pm, ready for pickup; 18 minutes shy of a full day before the Delivery Notice said it would be ready. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be happy that I don't have to wait or irritated at their useless availability times. Either way, I'm happy to have my stuff sitting in my lap as I type this.

That is all.
